Notice Meka's famous paper-colored/decorated Christmas cut-outs, lined-up scotch-taped to the front window, as they would be, 10 trees in descending order sizes symbolic of the 10 children, hanging each and every Christmas at Hancock Dr., hung with remembrances of Christas's past of all her children at their varying stages of life, by the Mother, even after all were grown-up and gone from the house.
A couple years later...

Tim and Rob With Kites at the Reservoir. Another one of Demo's Great, and this, perhaps one of his greatest, photos in all those qualities by which great black and white photos are judged. Writes Tim of this photo: "Mom had an 8x10 of this framed and on display for years and years. She saw in it, felt in it too, something of what it captured of her 2 youngest, as brothers, as her boys, as a time in their yet innocent youth which she embraced in feeling within her. There's a kind of sense of freedom portrayed...something, that the life she gave us, was good. For me, later, after the Reservoir had become, beginning at about age 18, my frequent retreat from my travels in Spiritual quest, and always thence throughout varying stages of my life when back in Syracuse visiting at Hancock Drive and therein frequent walks upon the Reservoir, then when viewing this photo, I liked to think that in it, at that time as that young boy, I was sensing my future, that I would travel out many-a-time from there, that city, and always return, there, to that view, and reflect on what I had found in life. Or, in the photo, in viewing the city below, with my younger brother at my side, I am contemplating "humanity" and our destiny to unfold within and among it.
